Drabek Tosses Complete Game No Hitter
Kyle Drabek, of the Toronto Blue Jays, pitched a complete game no hitter for AA New Hampshire this past Sunday afternoon.
Minor league no hitters are far from rare, but they tend to be combined efforts since starting pitchers are usually on strict pitch counts.

2009 Futures MVP Injured
Rene Tosoni, the 2009 Futures Game MVP and top prospect of the Minnesota Twins, will miss the remainder of the season and will have surgery to repair the labrum in his right shoulder. The problem initially surfaced in spring training, but Tosoni tried to play through it.

In a Wednesday evening contest between two of the best pitching prospects in AA, Kyle Drabek came out on top of David Bromberg.
Kyle Gibson Continues to Dominate
Kyle Gibson of the Minnesota Twins made his third AA start and picked up his third victory in the Eastern League.
Gibson allowed only one unearned run and scattered seven hits over seven shutout innings. The former Missouri standout struck out four New Hampshire (Blue Jays) batters and didn't walk anyone.
Stephen Strasburg Allows an Earned Run!!!
Stephen Strasburg actually gave up his first two runs of the season (only one earned) in a no-decision against AAA Toledo (Detroit Tigers).
2009's first overall selection K'd five and walked none in five innings pitched. He surrendered a double, a triple, and three singles.

1. Pedro Alvarez-3B-AAA
Alvarez has struggled a bit against lefties and his average is showing it. He needs to make more consistent contact. The thought is that he is trying to put everything out of the park. He has cut down on his strikeouts over the past two weeks but still needs to cut down more.
